The Heartfelt Impact of ADF

The transforming impact of education and the crucial role that ADF plays in closing gaps and opening opportunities are highlighted by these first-hand stories from our scholars. Come celebrate their accomplishments with us and let their tales of hope, thankfulness, and tenacity inspire you.

Miss Apaw Mercy Mawunyo

Since Nii Amui Memorial JSS, the Akosua Dankwaa Foundation has played a significant role in my educational career. I completed my studies at Deks and Ghana National College with the help of ADF, and I eventually received my degree from KNUST. Their resources, guidance, and financial assistance were essential to my achievement. I am motivated to help other students and give back, which is why I am happy to work as a teaching assistant at KNUST today. Because of ADF's steadfast support, I've been able to realize my full potential, and I sincerely appreciate their influence on my life.

Ransford Obeng Asiedu

Growing up, I lacked passion for academics despite my intelligence due to a lack of role models and financial worries. ADF changed this by providing a supportive learning environment and financial help. Surrounded by dedicated students, my drive for excellence grew.

Now, I study engineering in the oil and gas industry without financial concerns, aiming to become a significant figure in the field. My goal is to impact Africa’s economy positively and give back to society, inspired by ADF’s support. They made my dreams achievable.

“I am deeply grateful to the Akosua Dankwaa Foundation for their steadfast support throughout my educational journey, which has profoundly transformed my life and inspired me to give back to my community. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the management for their sacrifices and guidance; may God bless you all for your generosity.”

Phyllis Boakyewaa Osafo

“ADF, sometimes I just wonder where I would be at this stage of my life if not for this foundation.

Aside taking care of my academic needs, they have also given me a new family.

They always see the best in me and encourage me to reach for the sky in all aspects of my life and I am so grateful”

Sarah Owusu

“After completing secondary school, I had lost all hope of attending university due to financial constraints. But, by God's grace, ADF stepped in to help me. Their support made it possible for me to pursue and complete my university education. Without ADF, this achievement would not have been possible. I am deeply grateful for their generosity and belief in my potential. Thank you, ADF, for transforming my dreams into reality.

The Akosua Dankwaa Foundation's transformative support in 2013 was a turning point in my life. Their intervention during my junior high school years provided the opportunity to pursue my high school education at an international school in Ghana.

This invaluable exposure paved the way for my acceptance into Ashesi University, where I studied Mechanical Engineering. The foundation's unwavering support didn't stop there; it propelled me further to the University of Nottingham for my master's program.

Today, I am proud to be a mechanical engineer in England, a testament to the foundation's vision and commitment to empowering young minds. The ADF's impact on my life is profound, and their legacy of creating opportunities continues to inspire me daily.

The Akosua Dankwa foundation has been a massive blessing whose impact cannot be fully expressed in words. Of that much I am confident. I was fortunate to have to have been given the unique opportunity to be a beneficiary in JHS. And the support I received went far beyond assistance with my fees. I got to interact with a community of caring visionary people who provided much needed support and motivation to climb the academic ladder. I also got to meet some of my closest friends from the community of beneficiaries. Through all that support, I got the chance to now be doing my PhD at a prestigious university. At this point, as I am at the postgraduate stage of my academic journey, I look back and realise that this was only possible because a group of caring people made it so. My gratitude is endless and I hope I make the entire foundation proud.
